elindra SG Aiya easy ma Govt don't allow the sugar players to increase price, and they also dun wanna buy the sugar from them and sell at the subsidised price So the companies involved will do the logical step on allocating a fixed quantity as how much they are willing to lose and sell the rest to other markets so Malaysia will have shortage lor~
sbst275 SG Heck now 1 bag of 50kg sugar cost abt S$47 That's why Malaysia, once they remove the subsidy, tian sia da luan.. The ppl there too dependent on subsidy liao SG last time also monopolised by SIS
elindra SG Aiya they have everything subsidized ma, that is why now the government want to raise prices the citizens all kpkb. I think the government there wants to revamp and make the citizens less reliant on the government but they might be making too many changes at the same timeā¦.this is especially so for the native citizens where everything is super super heavily subsidised
sbst275 SG But their imported foodstuff so ex... That day see @ Giant Tampoi, 1 pkt if CQYD noodles is RM7 Here is 1 pkt S$1.90
elindra SG Well, it could be because of tax as the government might want the people to support local produce and manufacturered products
sbst275 SG Yeah As always Cos their industry aren't productive... Go Giant and see, so many chili sauce brand, but all Asli flavour, not like SinSin, so many varients This sort of protection actually do more harm than good....
elindra SG Maybe the Malaysians are not as fussy as Singaporeans..... I dunno if it is normal for u but I have oil for normal cooking and deep frying and different soy sauce and chilli sauces for different dishes
sbst275 SG Me too I dun use Canola Oil for deep frying... I use Duck Soy sauce, I also use diff one... Tiger,1 like $2 one, 1 like $3.90 one Chili sauce, I got 4 diff type de
elindra SG I use (Borges?) Mild Flavored Olive Oil but for deep frying I think Knife brand and Duck brand is the best I like the Tiger Brand Dark Soysauce, then for normal use I like to use the Malaysian 'Football' Brand and for steaming fish I like to use Woh Hup's 'Tangkwei' Soysauce. Chilli Sauce cannot remember brand
sbst275 SG My relative very fussy one, but maybe most JB folks are actually They say SG rice taste better Coffee, SG one better Chili sauce, SG side got more diff varient for diff taste preference
sbst275 SG Oil, I all use Lam Soon's one Knife not bad, sometimes buy 5kg bottle at 1 go esp when got party or whatever.. 'Tangkwei sauce'? That small bottle one right? Chili, I use SinSin... Asli, Thai Chili, Garlic Chili and 1 ABC Sambal
